With weary legs we decided to visit just a few chosen galleries at my old favourite the V and A. The Jewellery display did not disappoint. This piece here was paper macheBoth these pieces are featured in a V & A book that I purchased several years ago but nothing beats seeing them for real.Lovely day out yesterday with Jackie and Christina at National Portrait Gallery. Here they are with a Grayson Perry Pot. It depicts a same sex couple with their adopted mixed race child. A new modern family? This is one of Perry's silk screen prints. On the left is the Ashford retail park, filled with all the posh shops and in the background you see what our old shopping centres are beginning to look like with charity shops, off licences and empty shops. This was one of my fav pictures in the gallery of a young Royal Family with princess Margaret looking so stylish.this is such a dramatic technique made from recycled fabrics (old velvet curtains and wool blanket) will experiment with some other fabrics for the book.doing some samples for the book. I so wish I had written down exactly what I did with my new and innovative techniques that I had on display at my last exhibition. trying to reproduce them is quite a puzzle
